How to set up list checker
As requested. In this How to, I’m going to assume you know how to install something if I give you the link to get it.
Why use listchecker? As host, you play with literally 0 delay. As a ‘lan’ game, other players will also have much less delay, oftentimes better than GGC. It also allows you to host on battle.net.
Prerequisites: You want two ports open, 6112 and 6113, or another two that you choose to use. Explaining how to port forward is beyond the scope of this How to.
1. Install winpcap. Unless you already use a warcraft banlist, chances are you don’t have this and need to install it.
2. Download the files, from the original site one by one, or I zipped them up. Place the listchecker files in your warcraft directory(where you installed warcraft), which is most likely C:\Program Files\Warcraft III.
3. Open pickup.listchecker.ini with a text editor such as notepad and edit the fields.
- Set your gateway in the bnetnetwork= line. The four servers are uswest.battle.net, useast.battle.net, europe.battle.net, and asia.battle.net
- Set your Reign of Chaos cd key in the bnetkey1= line.
- Set your Frozen Throne cd key in the bnetkey2= line.
- Your battle.net account goes after bnetacc=
- Account password for bnetpass=
- Warcraft directory after war3dir=
- For hostport= leave it as 6112, or change it 6113. It needs to be different from the port you use in Warcraft. Also, it should be forwarded(so you can host). Listchecker may ask to do this automatically for you.
4. In Warcraft options, change your in game port so that it is not using the same one as listchecker. Close Warcraft.
5. Run pickup.listchecker.exe and then start Warcraft as you normally do. Go to Local Area Network (LAN)
Note: In choosing your LAN user name, list checker acts like a sort of spoofer, letting you fake your b.net name. I haven’t been banned, but just a warning. For example, if your b.net account is BoXThEKinG and you choose BoX as your LAN user name, you will show up as BoX in the game while connected to b.net as BoXThEKinG
6. Create a LAN game. You will see pickup.listchecker join your game.
7. To host a public battle.net game: in the LAN game lobby chat screen, type “/hostbnetpublic yourgamename” without the quotes and replacing yourgamename. To host a private battle.net game: type “/hostbnet yourgamename” instead.
That’s it! You can start the game once players have joined. When the game is started, you will no longer be connected to battle.net, so no accessing friends list or whispering.
Other common commands
To have listchecker auto-refresh for you, in the LAN game lobby type “/refreshbnet”.
To ping players, in the LAN game lobby type “/pingclients”. List checker will copy the pings to your clipboard, so paste(control-v) to see them.
For a full list of commands, check the original site or consult the help file included in the zip.

So I dled lc last night and set it all up and i can host perfectly except none of the commands work such as “/pingclients” or refreshbnet”. the only commands that work are /hbp and /hb. any help?
you really don’t need to use refreshbnet.. lc keeps refreshing by itself
with /pingclients you need to paste your clipboard. in other words, after you type /pingclients, hit ctrl-v
das
when i run listchecker nothing happens is that supposed to happen? and i typed in the host name and everything and nothing happened. help plz

can u help me out? ir freezes after the line about auth info.
every time
i never had a prob with lc before, beside misstyping passwords/keys, which is common
i tried restarting all the programs. same thing, freezes
tried restarting computer. still no luck
help me out plz
i mean its not the computer taht freezes, its just lc doesnt want to go on. i can still do pings and other commands, beside /openbnet or anything that involves bnet, it just goes to the same “sending auth info” and doesnt go on
actually wow i took some sweet time and fixed it myself. mostly by luck
i had some updates for windows waiting, and i did them and i dunno if they have anything to do with it, but after i restarted comp for updates to finish, my lc started working again. (seemed my ip last digit changed) so nobody could join and i had to reconfigure linksys again. after i did that, it works like new. lol i’m happy, being a chief of clan is somewhat a pressure :P
anyway thanks for help… i guess… lol haha
at least u can referr to this comment if anyone has a prob like me
lates
Hello.
It would seem that many people are having the same proble as me, yet there has been no clear answer so i would like to star the problem clearly and i hope that some can clear up my confusion.
Ok first off, I normally host on Bnet east with banlist.nl as my ping program. I do this all the time successfully. My issue is that People oftem complain of lag. I was told Lc was better at reducing lag.
I downloaded Lc ans setup everything correctly. I can create a public game with list checker through lan on my computer now. The problem as many others have stated is that noone can join my game. I get all the battle.net stuff sent in the chat to me and my friends can see the game name in the list of custom games but they cannot join it.
I am running on VISTA.
i have a belkin router and as i said before i can host a game without LC and people can join. I have ports 6112-6119 open. I assume its a port conflict, but I have tried many different ports and still noone can join my game through LC.
yes i Have winpcap, yes i Run the LC as administraitor.
lc is running on 6112 and my wc3 port is set to 6113
From reading through the comments on this thread, It seems that this program may not work with VISTA. Is this true?
Any help would be great. laggy games SUCK!
Thanks

OK for all those that Incorrect PW or has CD key
You have to re download the files.
and refill in all those information but make sure you get the information correct because it only encrypt the first try so you wont be able to fix it later on, but redo everything if you made a mistake.
I had the same problem but it’s working now.GLHF.
thanks for great information.. but i have a problem. I made the public game and people are not joining at all. I turned off my firewall and etc. Is there any solution for this problem ? Cant join my game?

Try looking in your listchecker log file. I would guess that your seeing a lot of people join but they get kicked by listchecker all the time. I used like 3 hours to figure out what went wrong, and came to the conclusion that pkp.listchecker HAS TO, NO EXCEPTIONS, run on port 6112 and that port 6113, even though it was open in firewall and router didn´t work. So i what i did was giving in pkp.listchecker.ini port 6112 and in game Options -> Gameplay, port 6115.. This way pkp.listchecker is happy and letting people join. I had many problems with this, but worked my way through, bit by bit, took im about 18 hours, splitted on 2 days, so if anyone need some help, write to me and i see if i can get the time to reply.
Im no admid or anything, im just a new user at pkp.listchecker as you guys, the e-mail is created just now only for this purpose.
Email: pkp.support@hotmail.com
When i try to run the list.. nothing pops up.. dose that mean its working??? im running Vista sp1…. do iahve to redownload it or what
