I rigged izireps to use a shared folder for images, templates, and etc, so I can have many installations on my server and only the database & config files are unique. I really hope this works out! I’ve also started backing up all my databases so…nothing bad should happen anymore.(my own replay db got bugged) Only problem is I don’t know how to use server side includes for some ad code.. you can’t have a <script> in a <script> or something.. but whatever not a big deal. Really wish everything was in php.. would be so much easier. Maybe some time I’ll write one of my own replay parser code things.

ToD interviewed at fnatic. The start is mostly repeated stuff already found in past interviews but then there are some nice parts. Like he listens to JAY CHOU - AN JING ahaha, how cool is that. Man these interviewers should ask public to suggest some questions. I want to ask why ToD suddenly stopped blogging last year. =(

As requested. In this How to, I’m going to assume you know how to install something if I give you the link to get it.

Why use listchecker? As host, you play with literally 0 delay. As a ‘lan’ game, other players will also have much less delay, oftentimes better than GGC. It also allows you to host on battle.net.

Prerequisites: You want two ports open, 6112 and 6113, or another two that you choose to use. Explaining how to port forward is beyond the scope of this How to.

1. Install winpcap. Unless you already use a warcraft banlist, chances are you don’t have this and need to install it.

2. Download the files, from the original site one by one, or I zipped them up. Place the listchecker files in your warcraft directory(where you installed warcraft), which is most likely C:\Program Files\Warcraft III.

3. Open pickup.listchecker.ini with a text editor such as notepad and edit the fields.

• Set your gateway in the bnetnetwork= line. The four servers are uswest.battle.net, useast.battle.net, europe.battle.net, and asia.battle.net
• Set your Reign of Chaos cd key in the bnetkey1= line.
• Set your Frozen Throne cd key in the bnetkey2= line.
• Your battle.net account goes after bnetacc=
• Account password for bnetpass=
• Warcraft directory after war3dir=
• For hostport= leave it as 6112, or change it 6113. It needs to be different from the port you use in Warcraft. Also, it should be forwarded(so you can host). Listchecker may ask to do this automatically for you.

4. In Warcraft options, change your in game port so that it is not using the same one as listchecker. Close Warcraft.

5. Run pickup.listchecker.exe and then start Warcraft as you normally do. Go to Local Area Network (LAN)

Note: In choosing your LAN user name, list checker acts like a sort of spoofer, letting you fake your b.net name. I haven’t been banned, but just a warning. For example, if your b.net account is BoXThEKinG and you choose BoX as your LAN user name, you will show up as BoX in the game while connected to b.net as BoXThEKinG

6. Create a LAN game. You will see pickup.listchecker join your game.

7. To host a public battle.net game: in the LAN game lobby chat screen, type “/hostbnetpublic yourgamename” without the quotes and replacing yourgamename. To host a private battle.net game: type “/hostbnet yourgamename” instead.

That’s it! You can start the game once players have joined. When the game is started, you will no longer be connected to battle.net, so no accessing friends list or whispering.

Other common commands
To have listchecker auto-refresh for you, in the LAN game lobby type “/refreshbnet”.
To ping players, in the LAN game lobby type “/pingclients”. List checker will copy the pings to your clipboard, so paste(control-v) to see them.

Waiting for something to start.. bnet season.. xlocup.. incup.. all between seasons. So I have like nothing to play, lawl. Gonna lose everything =\ *sigh*

so everytime i think i’ve got it sorta-kinda-more-or-less figured out i end up losing some ridiculous game to some soso player and it is pissing me off.

seriously had better results playing undead or elf mirror. this ’stick to one race’ business is NOT WORKING for me. btw lmao did everyone see sweet use orc against ted, but ted switched to elf and beat sweet 3-2, AHAHA.

so is a tier 2 expo viable?? if you dont have rifles, dryad owns you. if you try to rifle expo, you get run over by bears. lose-lose? oh, the push like JUST ISN’T WORKING

so if you can’t push and you have to creep or something and micro your ass off, then why rifle caster? caster mortar doesn’t work too well either.. weak to dryads and good harass i think. so i’ve decided to try going tier 3 like that bjarke or whatever guy did except instead of mountain king i’ve been using alchemist, who has the added benefit of being easy to use.

same weakness(dryads + good harass i guess), so it’s not really a downgrade. except now you get staff and tier 3 units to micro. i guess? i wonder if i can make it work. 21 was kind enough to play a couple of test games with me. game 1 game 2

i have this problem of not having enough wood. dunno what to do about it, maybe tier slower and get a 3rd farm for another peasant or something.

if you watch games, in the 2nd one i tiered before making sanctum. faster staff, and it’s not like priests are going to help you immediately anyway. DUNNO.

i think against elf it’s generally a bad idea to try to win early with your advantage unless it’s huge

more specifically, take luci vs satiini on tr from wc3l for example

mym’s uds seem to get more gargs at tier 2 before teching. but iono maybe i just dont follow the matchup enoughh

i still like sweet’s old ud vs elf. like 2 garg or something and hit tier 3 for frenzy. if everything goes well then you’ll have frenzy and his panda will still be level 2

but iono maybe this imbalanced ancient creeping changed everything and i don’t know what i’m talking about

some mistakes in the game vs frozen:
peasants cut down the trees and ruined my wall… therefore delaying everything
i saw he went fast tier 3 so i shouldn’t have made rifles probably since i was already behind
should have power built sanctums i think.. needed faster casters

and even then at the end i prob should have just hid inside base lol~

a lot of times when laddering or something like that, i think it helps to just purposely play differently than the way everyone else is at the moment. e.g. if people are all tier 1 fast expanding against ud. maybe use a tier 2 expo with mk and hawks.

and when you match the same person again, use another strategy.
