Human versus Orc on Twisted Meadows, replay here.
Short story shorter, I screwed up. Excuse: obs were mass lagging. OK, now that that’s out of the way, onto the game!
I spawn on the top right while my opponent spawns below me. I open with the old Sky build and creep my green to start off the game.

Creeping with two militia to finish faster
Expecting him to harass me, I give myself a head start in the early game cat-and-mouse chase by leaving the militia to finish the last baby gnoll.

Letting the orc chase me around the map
The chase ends back at my base and I sit by the beastly anti-harassment arcane tower, ready to call a few peasants to arms if he decides to wack at me in my territory.

Arcane tower is our best friend =)
So far I’ve had as good a tier 1 as Human can hope for on TM. My opponent’s Far Seer has 0 experience and I’ve taken minimal damage on my units. At tier 2 I start constructing two Sanctums inside my base. Unless you’re already playing offensively, it’s important to put tier 2 buildings behind your wall to make the Orc think twice about running in to cancel them.
In the meantime I sneak out the side and go to do what I can in the Orc’s base with my just hired Beastmaster.

Canceling the Beastiary
I lose a footman but successfully cancel his Beastiary. His units are arriving so I decide to get out since my Archmage is only level 1. I also know he’s probably going Shadow Hunter since I’ve prepared by watching a couple of his replays.
Not wasting time, I run directly over to the far mercenary camp and creep it followed by the right side Goblin Shop. Grab a heal scroll and get ready to rush.
Starting here things start to get sloppy. I probably could have hired the fat ogre instead of the troll berserker. I also run into some fingering issues and lose 10 seconds give or take trying to get my units to do what I want them to do. So I run over to his base with pocket towers and militia, but I see he is sitting there waiting for me so I send my militia back and quickly creep the merc camp outside his base.
No idea what I was thinking when I teleported so soon there.. watching the replay I probably would have won if I just turned around and fought….. *sigh*
So I got level 3 Archmage, grab clarity potions and a hp pot for my AM and head to his base again with militia hoping to end the game.
Several things went wrong in this battle
1. Ob lagging
2. I didn’t put my pocket towers down =(
3. I think I used my only heal scroll too early
4. I probably could have focus fired.. or maybe not.
5. Maybe should have manually casted slow like I used to…

Demolishers + Ensnare = Casters go SPLAT
Yeah I was also thinking maybe against long range siege units I shouldn’t group my water elementals.. so they aren’t crawling around doing nothing when I focus fire the siege.
