So I guess I’ll just write some comments about the game.. nothing comprehensive. Don’t feel like doing screenshots either! So sue me.

Game One on GW

I was expecting Rulaz (orc) on this map…. but yeah. So I was disappointed I didn’t get a good spawn to creep merc but I crept it anyway. I think I crept it incorrectly.. it’s probably better to get the 2 ranged first?

Anyway, I notice he’s expanding and camping his expo so I decide to creep to level 3 and push. I sell my items at the shops and buy circlets before pushing. Push failed. 2 arcanes~

Game Two on LT

He uses Night Elf on this map. I won’t guess why. Anyway He goes POTM so I assume hunts/tier 1 stuff. Go over what to do in my head: get expo up, guard tower or two, dual rax rifles to counter hunt/protector push.

So yeah he accidentally canceled all his protectors, but I think I would have won anyway.. just would have been more difficult. The angle at which I built my town hall at the expansion probably wasn’t so great either. I probably should have built it along the trees on the other side and put towers in front.

Game Three on TS

Yeah my opponents keep picking TS against me.. kind of lucky as it’s one of my favorite maps along with LT. (James says I shouldn’t post stuff like this?)

So my opponent didn’t creep at the start and ran straight to me.. killing my troll priest since I wasn’t paying attention to it (because you usually don’t have to that early..). That kind of threw off my groove and I fed him a free footman too.

If you watch replay, you’ll see I ran into some big trouble at tier 3. Usually you want to chop some trees for an opening by then, but I didn’t so I had to use zeppelins to ferry my units across >_>. My workshop should have gone behind the wall as well.

1.22 staff nerf is going to hurt.

I won 2-1.. some difficult games. Final result HDx 3-0, I think tomorrow I will post about my games. Stay tuned.

haven’t blogged in awhile.. not much to talk about. I’ve been watching some replays.. mostly from NSL.. playing a little euro/asia..little being .5 game/day average. Last round of WCL quals vs clan tera coming up.. hope we can win. Their 2s team seems kind of scary.. the few replays are watched were like.. dual human tower rush, ghoul/footmen tower rush.. yeah I think it will come down to the lineup.

playing shortround next for ESWC.. I think it’s scheduled for the 8th of May (or something like that)

hmm yeah been playing a bit of AT last week or two (not that anyone cares)

mhmm that’s about it.. I haven’t really been doing anything at all lately.

So I made a short video of a really simple creeping “trick”, if I can even call it that much, with water elemental that lets you finish creeping faster. It’s nothing amazing but I don’t see anyone do it. It’s nothing big either, but little things add up, right?

So I was originally planning to add voice narration (commenting/commentating) but then I decided that I don’t like talking; instead, I’ll just write a few notes below.. there isn’t much to say anyway.

Notes

- The gist of the whole thing is moving your water elemental back away from the creeps when it’s about to die so that it can continue doing damage. *In most cases* this doesn’t make a huge difference and I don’t do it myself every time I creep a camp anyway. I most commonly use it when I am fast expanding on Lost Temple. You really do notice the difference when you’re creeping your natural gold mine with 3 militia (or even 4) and 2 footmen.

- I called my militia just slightly too late in the demo video. I also could have let my WE take a little more damage; it was at like 85 hp when I pulled it back.

So I searched on Westfall a bit before trying West.. before giving up to just search on Asia.

The game wasn’t as epic as I would’ve liked.. but it’s not terrible I hope. I wanted to go tier 3 for gryphons =[

Not as fast as I used to be, etc. etc. etc.

I dunno, I just don’t find them interesting anymore.. and I think everyone else wouldn’t be interested too. To me the best part of creating fpvs is picking the music to accompany it =]

Anyway, my notebook audio input kind of works so I might try making my own audio commentaries. Except instead of doing all the replay-audio synching stuff I will record audio/video of me viewing the replays and commenting (commentating ?) on them. Instead of like the usual a/c feeling it’ll probably be more of a “hey, I’m watching a replay.. want to watch it with me?” feeling.

Or maybe not, we’ll see.

So yeah tower repair rate changed from 12 to 20. I think those numbers represent the number of seconds it takes for a peasant to fully repair a tower. (scout tower? guard?)

It’s interesting because they did not decrease tower’s hit points. To me this shows that whoever is doing the balance mainly wanted to nerf tower rushing. Sad news for all the mass tower haters? Yeah a pretty good fix.. I didn’t think about repair rate. I was actually thinking decrease hitpoints and increase build time..

Yeah I could comment on the rest of the changes but I’d probably bore myself…
