So I have been practicing with UD lately, and it has been going alright. If I hesitated to give advice with human, how much more so must I hesitate with Undead. Nevertheless, advice is free, so take it for what it’s worth.

A lot of times strategies have transition units: footmen, archers, ghouls. Specifically I want to comment on Undead versus Night Elf, starting with ghouls and switching to fiends or even ghouls to gargs. Speaking generally, I think with ghouls it is important to trade units with your opponent. I have not gotten it all figured out, but it appears that pro Undeads will have two “trading” periods: immediately at tier 2, leaving perhaps four ghouls behind, and soon after tier 3, this time perhaps with all but two ghouls. This behavior of exchanging units at tier 3 when possibly disadvantaged and underleveled is quite topsy-turvy for a human player. For humans (at least this one), tier 3 is when you want to use your tech advantage and creep your underleveled heroes.

Anyway, I hope it goes without saying that anything I write should be taken with a grain of salt.
